“Simply put, you believe that things or people make you unhappy, but this is not accurate. You make yourself unhappy.”
Wayne Dyer
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.”
Marcus Aurelius
It’s usually easy to be a happier person.
You can also easily rob yourself of happiness.
Making yourself even more miserable. Every day people around the world do it.
So this week I’d like to combine these two things. I’d like to share with you 7 habits that steal happiness from me. I struggle with these in my daily life, and I know that many of you also do.
But I’d also like to add what you can do instead if you find yourself being stuck in one of these destructive habits.
1. Daily swimming in a sea filled with negative voices.
This one is quite subtle.
Just go about your normal daily routine. You should hang out with people you know. Listen to the old radio or podcasts. Watch the old TV shows. Read the usual magazines and blogs.
What impact do these things have on your thinking?
