1. U.S. claims Israel is “not responsible” but there are still doubts

Joe Biden said that during his recent visit to Israel, it didn’t appear that the IDF had been responsible for a deadly explosion in a Gazan hospital that killed over 500 people.

“But there’s a lot of people out there not sure, so we’ve got a lot — we’ve got to overcome a lot of things,” he said.

After the hospital blast, the summit that was scheduled to take place between Biden and leaders from Jordan, Egypt, Palestine and the Palestinian Authority has been cancelled.

2. The European Union takes action against social media misinformation

The European Union intensified its scrutiny on Big Tech companies and demanded that Meta, TikTok and Facebook detail their efforts in combating illegal content and misinformation during the Israel/Hamas war.
