The year 2023 was a difficult one for LGBTQ+ Americans.
This year will be remembered for the wrong reasons. With many anti-LGBTQ+ laws introduced and numerous direct attacks against the queer communities, it has been a bad one.
Many queer people are turning to entertainers to help them cope during these difficult times. They may also use the entertainment as a way to distract themselves from the chaos that is happening around them.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Jinkx Monsoon & BenDeLaCreme, both drag queens, have used their platforms to promote equality and remain true to themselves as comedians.
