1. Search for a girl, 9, abducted at a New York campsite intensifies
New York State Police is searching for a nine-year-old child who was kidnapped Saturday night, while camping with her parents. Charlotte Sena last saw at Moreau Lake State Park near Albany in Saratoga County around 6:15pm.
She was wearing an orange tie-dye Pokémon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs, and a gray bike helmet. Police say she’s 4 feet 6 inches tall, 90 pounds and has blond-colored hair.
2. The same shortage of drugs and new virus season
The second year in a row, parents have been experiencing a shortage in amoxicillin – the most prescribed antibiotic across the country. Liquid formulations of the drug — often used to treat children with strep throat, chest and sinus infections, and earaches — are still in short supply.
While capsules and tablets have not been affected by the shortage, young children often can’t swallow pills and instead rely on liquids.
