1. Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady of America, is laid to Rest

Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady who reshaped her role, while also solidifying her humanitarian legacy, passed away on Wednesday. Jimmy Carter, the former president who has been receiving hospice care for more than a year now, attended the funeral services.

Carter died at the young age of 96. Her husband said in a press release at the time: “Rosalynn was my partner in everything. Her wisdom and support were my constant companions.”

2. Nikki Haley still far from GOP nomination despite receiving key endorsement
